"They look like they're ready to kill us!" I shouted into the driving wind.
For sure, the ocean wasn't playing games with us. and if it was, we were
definitely on the losing side!

I was talking about the waves. They were twenty-foot giants, on every side
and we sailed up the trough of the wave, frightfully fast, and crashed through
its top, sending tons of white spray cascading like a waterfall twenty feet
from the bow to the stern. The ocean drenched us over and over again.
